19th Century KPM Berlin Painted Porcelain Plaque, Die Lautenspielerin

A late 19th century Berlin KPM painted porcelain plaque, Die Lautenspielerin, in pierced foliate giltwood frame, painting after Friedrich August von Kaulbach (German, 1850-1920). Modeled as a standing auburn-haired maiden holding a lute in a wooded landscape, the reverse signed Steger, impressed scepter above KPM, 306, C (potter's mark) Framed Dimensions 15"h X 11.5"w X 1.75"d Dimensions (approx): 6.5" x 3" Excellent condition. Wear consistent with age: Small area of flaking to lower portion of plaque along edge, with small discoloration to upper right corner. Flaking and rubbing throughout framing gilt.
