Jan Hendrik Eversen (Dutch, 1906-1995) - 'Molen Te Ede' - Exceptional oil painting on panel - featuring a prominent 19th century grist mill in Ede, Holland with surrounding roof tops and meandering path - original bone veneered frame - signed lower center - signed, titled and dated on the back of the panel - Netherlands - circa 1946.
Excellent vintage condition - yellowing varnish from age - no loss - no damage - no restoration - minor signs of age and use. Frame in excellent condition with minor signs of age and use.

Jan Hendrik Eversen - Son of a prominent painter, Jan Eversen became a renowned artist in his own right. Known for his elaborately staged still life paintings and landscapes of the Netherlands, this painting is mid career while he was living in Ede. He is much respected for his detailed works, much like the 17th century dutch masters where he layers paint and varnish to spectacular effect.
