About the Item
This is a beautiful, elegant and striking still life oil painting of a Lobster with fruit on an overflowing laid table with silverware, basket or fruit, foliage an upturned crab and draped fabric
The more you look at this piece of historical art the more you see, set on a dark background the colours become more vibrant the more you pay attention to the many items in view
Presented in its original frame made of 3 parts, an outer carved and shaped Mahogany frame, an inner flat Mahogany frame and an inset gilded narrow beading all of which add to the depth of the painting and frame it perfectly as was the original choice when presenting the painting
The painting is signed but we cannot read it in order to investigate the artist further but it is a super decorators piece and as you can see in the photos looked wonderful above the mantle piece in the house it was pictured in
