LATE 18th CENTURY LANDSCAPE PAINTING WITH FIGURES

About the Item

Charming oil painting on wooden panel, elegantly framed in a carved and gilded wooden frame. The work depicts a landscape at sunset, with a city looming in the distance. In the foreground, a group of characters is in a circle, accompanied by a balcony slightly behind where small figures can be seen, while the surrounding nature is characterized by lush trees. The background features a sky that fades into the warm tones of sunset, in the enchanting golden hour. Great mastery can be seen in the use of colors and in the pictorial technique. The painting is attributed to an artist of the Roman school of the late 18th century. Measurements: H x W x D overall 55.5 x 40.5 x 4cm; H x W work only 39.5 x 24cm
