About the Item

1937 Abraham Rattner – Colour Lithograph for Verve Vol. I, Plate-Signed, Wood Frame & Free Worldwide Shipping Flames of cadmium red and lemon yellow leap sky-high in this original 1937 colour lithograph by Abraham Rattner, created for the debut issue of Verve. Printed by Mourlot Frères and signed in the plate, the work embodies Rattner’s fascination with biblical imagery and incandescent colour, prefiguring the expressionist power of his later stained-glass windows.
