About the Item
The Minimalist wall-mounted 3G shelf is sculpted out of 1/4 inch thick, brushed and anodized. Each shelf has an inset bolted U-channel that spans the length of the shelf and easily mounts on included custom-bent steel Z-clips. Each bay of this modernist shelf is proportioned to the golden ratio and can the scale can be customized to match these proportions. The shelf is customizable based on these proportions and can be in 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 bays. Finish samples, available upon request. Shown in satin copper anodized finish.

Jonathan Nesci
Jonathan is a furniture and exhibition designer based in Columbus who works with a variety of producers in the Midwest that use conventional and digital fabrication processes to execute his designs in a myriad of materials and finishes. In 2009, "Wallpaper" honored Jonathan with a Design Award for Best Use Of Material for his “Library Bookcase,” a wall-mounted shelf in polished aluminum that was recently added to the permanent collection of the Indianapolis Museum of Art.

Kontra acts as a depiction of the forces at play in a cantilever construction.
The piece gives off a modest impression but unveils its complexity as its
architecture becomes apparent. Fully encased in natural linoleum, the ultra-matte surface has a texture reminiscent of leather and is smooth to the touch. Kontra is a modular system that becomes more salient when used in a multitude and can be ordered with the desired number of shelves.
SNICKERIET is a furniture studio with an explorative approach to traditional woodworking craft and philosophy. Projects are initiated as research into topics revolving technique, construction, decoration and material properties. The findings are released in the form of individual pieces of furniture. The studio was founded in 2011 and is based in Stockholm and Gothenburg.
