An exceptional, fine and impressive set of six antique 9 karat yellow gold buttons with golfing interest - boxed; an addition to our jewelry collection.
This exceptional set of six antique Edwardian shank buttons has been crafted in 9k yellow gold.
Each hallmarked gold button has a circular form, ornamented with an impressive cast golfing scene depicting a male in full-swing, with a golf course terrain in the background.
The reverse of each antique button is plain and unembellished, apart from the gold fineness hallmark '9k'.
Each impressive piece is accommodated with a yellow gold split ring.
The components of this exceptional set are fitted to the original hinged leatherette presentation box, with a satin and velvet lined interior and securing with a push fit catch.

The Sciacca Coral has unique origins in the world: it is closely tied to the exceptional history of the Ferdinandea Island, which is a submerged volcanic island in the Strait of Sicily, between Pantelleria and Sciacca.
As of today the summit of the Ferdinandea Island remains between about 6 and 8 meters below the Mediterranean Sea level. Its most recent appearance as an island was in July 1831.
In the late 1831, in a shoal (called later ”Bummolo” by the fishermen of Sciacca) located around 30 miles from Sciacca, a new island emerged in a fiery hell from the depths of the Strait of Sicily.
However, one year later, the island sank back beneath the waters and definitely disappeared in the Strait of Sicily.

Art Nouveau pioneer and gifted American artisan Louis Comfort Tiffany created this Victory favrile glass medallion in celebration of the Allied victory in World War I. Tiffany's majestic iridescent art glass highlights the patriotic motif featuring an eagle, with its wings outstretched, holding aloft the Liberty Bell above the banner inscribed "VICTORY" above the year 1918. It is believed that this medallion was commissioned by Tiffany as an invitation to an exclusive party celebrating the end of the war. Few of these remarkable objets d'art are known to exist, making them not only exceptional works of Tiffany Studios artistry, but also stunning artifacts of world history.
