About the Item

Modernist ring designed by Boucheron. This is a gorgeous colorful piece created in France by the iconic Parisian jewelry house of Boucheron, back in the 1970. This ring was carefully crafted with art deco patterns in solid white gold of 18 karats with high polished finish. The ring is embellished with a great selection of forty-five earth mined natural gemstones, such; white colorless diamonds and pigeon blood red rubies. Diamonds: Mounted in a French pave setting, with 25 calibrated round brilliant cut diamonds, with a approximate weight of 0.75 carats, white colorless E/F color, VS-2 clarity. Rubies: Mount in channel settings, with 20 calibre cut of natural intense red rubies, with a weight of about 1.00 carats. Birthstone: Ruby for the month of July. Weight: 9.95 grams, (6.40 Dwt). Size: 6.75 and may be resized on request. Measurements: 23 mm by 11 mm (0.91 x 0.43 Inches) and raise 5mm over the finger. Hallmarks: Stamped with French marks: the head of the eagle for the assay and warranty of the 18kt gold, the maker's maitre mark Ste B. associated to the Societe Boucheron, the four-digits serial numbers and signed as follow, "1449 BOUCHERON OR .750". Boucheron Frédéric Boucheron founded the Maison Boucheron in Paris in 1858. To this day, the Boucheron jewelry house is known for its intricate, free spirited style. Boucheron designs are always creative and display outstanding French craftsmanship and characterful stones. He quickly became well known for the exceptional quality of his precious stones. Around 1880, he was the first modern jeweler bold enough to engrave diamonds with flowers or arabesques, reviving an engraving technique that had been forgotten since ancient times. Always avant-garde and seeking modernity, in 1879 the jeweler devised the Question Mark necklace, which, for the first time ever, would be worn asymmetrically and would not have a clasp. Far from entrapping the jewel and those who wore it in some stranglehold, Boucheron liberated both the jewelry and the women, without resorting to ideology. He became the jeweler of free and independent women. In 1893, Frédéric Boucheron was the first of the great contemporary jewelers to open a boutique on place Vendôme. It was this move that gave meaning to the beginnings and to what followed. In this case, that of four generations of Boucheron, who, in the space of 160 years, built a style, a reputation, a know-how. This balance between perfect technical mastery and limitless artistic talent lies at the origin of each creation. Just as one sees the qualities of a stone before it is cut, or senses the radiance of a jewel before it is shaped, so Boucheron conceived of French jewelry before it existed. Collateral: This ring is accompanied by a presentation jewelry box. Condition: The overall condition of this ring is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. The 45 gemstones are secured in their settings. This ring has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity. INVENTORY REF: R090924MOEN/.2391
