1.05 Carat Old European Cut Diamond with Ruby Statement Ring in 18 Karat Gold
This articulate contemporary old mutual/European cut diamond solitaire and unusual cut pigeon blood ruby ring is a magnificent lively design. The diamond round solitaire of 1.05 ct is an antique 58 facets cut without the precision of the modern regular cut we get today, thereby acting as its predecessor of sorts. This cut possesses the special characteristic of a high crown, small table, and a large, flat culet. It’s primarily from the 1800s era and was used mostly during the Victorian, Edwardian, and Art Nouveau period.
The solitaire ring in a white gold bezel setting is brilliantly surrounded by identical color and mix special baguette-cut lustrous rubies in a bezel setting and slightly angled to exemplify the diamond solitaire. The ruby cuts are perfected through the silver mold dye created to equally and progressively cut the ruby baguettes with the help of the right artisans and cutters. It’s an effectively time-consuming and elaborate process that looks simple but is very complex and revolutionary.
The rubies are glorified with the pave round diamond cluster creating the emerald-cut shape completing the ring style. The ring’s gallery and the girdle is heightened and covered in white gold to showcase the brilliance of the ring’s head and magnify its presence. The half-diamond and half-gold band adds novelty to the ring and makes it a forever treasure.
