1.35 Carat Old European Cut Diamond with Cabochon Sapphire Ring in 18 Karat Gold
This exceptional old mutual/European cut diamond solitaire and tube-cut vertigo blue sapphire ring is a phenomenal comprehensive design. The diamond round solitaire of 1.35 carat is an antique 58 facets cut without the precision of the modern regular cut we get today, thereby acting as its predecessor of sorts. This cut possesses the special characteristic of a high crown, small table, and a large, flat culet. It’s primarily from the 1800s era and was used mostly during the Victorian, Edwardian, and Art Nouveau period.
The solitaire ring in white gold hammered prong-closed setting is ingeniously surrounded by identical and matching cabochon special arc-sphere dome tube cut royal blue sapphires and elegantly indented in the gaps spaced by round diamonds in the dotted pronged shank. The sapphire tube cuts are perfected through the silver mold dye created to equally and progressively cut the sapphires with the help of the right artisans and cutters. It’s an effectively time-consuming and elaborate process that looks simple but is very complex and revolutionary.
The fascinating hammered gold randalls throughout the ring setting holding the sapphires and diamonds both is the art-deco style used in the old times for strength and depth highlighting the stones and their beauty. It’s a timeless remarkable ring design that suits a women’s hand.
