About the Item

18 Karat Gold 5.56 Carat Solitaire Diamond Old European Cut Art-Deco Style Ring This old mutual/European cut diamond solitaire ring is an elegant art-deco design. The diamond of 5.56 carat is an antique 58 facet cut without the precision of the modern regular cut we get today, thereby acting as its predecessor of sorts. This cut possesses the special characteristic of a high crown, small table and a large, flat culet. The cutting technique is primarily from the 1800s era and was used mostly during the Victorian, Edwardian, and Art Nouveau periods. The solitaire mine cut diamond in white gold dotted hammered prong-closed setting is exceptionally surrounded by identical and matching vivid green emerald cabochon of special arc-sphere dome old cut. It’s further enhanced by another row of brilliant cut round diamonds in dotted hammered prong-closed setting, thereby adding richness to the ring’s design. The ring’s band is amicably crafted with the round diamonds set in the same hammered style half-way through the graduating band. The emerald tube cuts are perfected through the silver mold dye created to equally and progressively cut the emeralds with the help of the right artisans and cutters. It’s an effectively time-consuming and elaborate process that looks simple, but is very complex and revolutionary. The fascinating hammered white gold randalls throughout the ring setting holding the emeralds and diamonds both is art deco style used in the old times for strength and depth highlighting the stones and their beauty. This ring pair is a timeless intriguing design that can be worn regularly without the need to change. Details of the piece: Gross Weight: 7.575 grams Solitaire Diamond: 5.56 carats Diamond: 0.29 carats Natural Emerald: 0.47 carats Gold: 6.311 grams Note: The ring size can be changed within a few hours.
