21st Century, Champagne cover, Solid pure silver, Battaglia di Camollia, Italy

About the Item

This champagne cover is a true masterpiece, skillfully capturing the essence of Giorgio Vasari’s famous fresco, “Battaglia di Porta Camollia.” Crafted from pure silver 999/°°, the artist has intricately depicted the dramatic events of the night of January 26, 1554, when the Sienese fort near Porta Camollia was attacked, igniting the war between Siena and Florence. Handcrafted by the renowned Florentine master goldsmith Giuliano Foglia, this cover represents the pinnacle of artisanal excellence. The production process, which took several months, utilized advanced techniques such as overhang and chasing. The core value of this piece lies in its artistic perfection. The meticulous chiseling of the human figures highlights Foglia’s extraordinary attention to detail. This exquisite K-OVER has been proudly showcased at prestigious events, including Four Seasons (2019, Florence), Cannes Yachting Festival (2019, Cannes), and Origin (2019, Milan). As time passes, the rarity of finding an artist with Foglia’s exceptional talent will only increase, making this piece an invaluable addition to any collection. Artist information: Giuliano Foglia was born in 1947 in Florence. In the ‘60s, despite his young age, Giuliano started working with his father in the family workshop. There, he learned how to design, overhang and chisel. During his long career he realized Madonne, eighteenth-century scenes and fountains. His masterpieces are Calice of the Saint Galgano and the Cups for San Marino Grand Prix (F1). Thanks to his lifelong experience, he is now considered one of the best chisels in Italy. He has been recently working with K-Over for the project: K-over Art. Technical features: K-OVER is a brand of P.M.P Firenze, a company with more than 40 years of experience in the silverware industry. Our covers keep your treasured bottles of champagne fresh for up to 2 hours. K-OVER is reusable, you can easily change the bottle by unscrewing the cap at the bottom. Each champagne cover is unique and has only been displayed at artistic and cultural events, or private luxury launches. K-OVERS are compatible with champagne bottles such as Moet Et Chandon, Veuve Clicquot, Cristal, Pol Roger, Piper, Perrier Jouet, Taittinger, Mumm, Ferrari, and Berlucchi. All our champagne and wine covers are crafted from solid 999/°° silver, unlike the typical use of sterling silver in silverware. This unique choice is driven by three compelling reasons, we aim to provide our customers with a high-value and unique product. Pure silver’s resistance to oxidation makes it easier to clean and polish. Finally, the antibacterial properties of silver ensure it’s safe for use with food and beverages.
