Turn - Large Colorful Abstract Geometric Painting
By Petra Rös-Nickel
Located in Los Angeles, CA
Petra Rös-Nickel’s original paintings merge playful forms, bright colors, and architectural compositions in oil and mixed media on canvas. Her contemporary artworks contain rich textures and patterns, referencing popular European textile designs of the fifties and sixties. Rös-Nickel’s work translates the geometric and organic elements of an era that hoisted the flags of modernism and which, due to a trend to return to a rather retro style, has become topical once more. This 43-inch high by 63-inch wide contemporary oil painting is ready to hang. This artwork is double wired and may be installed vertically or horizontally. The sides of this artwork are painted and it does not require framing. Free local Los Angeles area delivery. Affordable U.S. and global shipping are available. A certificate of authenticity issued by the art gallery is included. Petra was born 1963 in Wathlingen near Celle, Germany, and breaks completely new ground with her abstract forms of painting and expression. After studying fashion design at the professional school for clothing in Bremen, 1980, Petra Rös-Nickel changed her field of study to architecture in Eckernförde, 1982. She now lives in Hamburg, Germany. Preferring the creative aspects of the studies to the technical ones, the artist developed the basics of her painting, never denying the roots of applied design and soon ending in a refreshing, distinctive style. Petra Rös-Nickel experiments with form, along with the use of a technique that draws attention to the processes used in creating a painting. Essential is the color space presented in multiple layers that offers the beholder access to more profound color planes. These details, scratchings, and rubbings lead to various elements of tension, such as “patchwork” or harmonious-contemplative forms (“windows”) and “oscillating lines”. Rös-Nickel's modernist paintings develop an energetic impact on the space they‘re displayed in, conveying her joy of life and self-confidence. Her abstract geometric textured artworks have been exhibited and collected worldwide, including Germany, Belgium, USA, Canada, Singapore, and Hong Kong. Notable collectors include Chris Rock...

Forces of Nature 1 - Textural Abstract Minimalist Artwork on Canvas
By Len Klikunas
Located in Los Angeles, CA
Len Klikunas paints minimalist artworks to modify experienced reality through visual perception. The Blocks series is a mix of art and architecture, hovering between painting and sculpture. It employs shizen (自然): the Japanese concept of naturalness; absence of pretense or artificiality. Material is stretched over a supporting three-dimensional framework, like a tent, and coated with paint. The work is characterized by “mindful artlessness” and simplicity. Understated and subtle, the work doesn’t only refer to itself, and it doesn’t explain everything. This 8 inch square post-minimalist artwork is wired and ready to hang. The sides are painted as a continuation of the front. The artist signs the artwork on the back. Convenient local Los Angeles shipping. Affordable Continental U.S. and worldwide shipping also available. A certificate of authenticity issued by the art gallery is included with this unique painting. Len Klikunas' sculptural works are represented by Artspace Warehouse Los Angeles as well as Kelly Wearstler Interior Design. They have been exhibited and collected throughout the USA. Judy Garland - Original Black and White Red Lips Mixed Media String Artwork
By Ricky Hunt
Located in Los Angeles, CA
Ricky Hunt’s work is influenced by Egyptian hieroglyphs, graffiti and his tumultuous past that led to a paradigm shift in creativity and life. On his sculptural and three-dimensional mixed media artworks he covers the wood panel with carefully placed nails and creates intriguing portraits with thread woven through the nails. The harmony of the overall filography composition finds its way through his intricate threading of yarn into a cohesive visual statement. Hidden within the patterns and markings of this string art portrait are limitless points of interest, constantly revealing the imagery in a new way for us to discover. His works have been exhibited at galleries and art fairs internationally, including Los Angeles, New York, Zurich, Hong Kong and London. This unique mixed media artwork measures 48 inches high by 42 inches wide and 3 inches deep. The shadows cast by the nails and black thread add a three-dimensional texture to this monochromatic artwork. It is wired and ready to hang. It does not require framing. It is signed and dated by the artist on the back of the artwork. Free local Los Angeles delivery. Affordable U.S. and global shipping available (this artwork ships in a crate). A certificate of authenticity issued by the art gallery is included. Philosophy, mathematics, scientific theory, poetry and astronomy are a few of the themes that run through his paintings and he expresses it with unique imagery. Hunt describes his contemporary imagery as, “Chaotic order pouring from the watery depths of my unconscious”. Ricky Hunt lives and paints in Los Angeles. A brief period of drug addiction in the 1980's led to a term of incarceration for the artist. This in turn led to the discovery of his artistic talent and personal transformation through the love of art. He found inspiration in artists such as Basquiat and Haring...

Each circle represents a stepping stone on the path of success that keeps growing to greater heights. Magical Gold - Large Abstract Painting
Located in Los Angeles, CA
Clara Berta’s acrylic and mixed-media paintings blend texture and color to create harmony, mystery, and depth on the painted surface. Her paintings transform spaces into Zen environments where one can quiet a cluttered mind and enjoy beauty every day. Clara Berta’s paintings explore themes such as the ebb and flow of memory, the significance of personal heritage, the passing of physical time, desire, grief, and love. This artwork measures 36 inches high by 60 inches wide. The sides of this original abstract artwork are painted white. It is stretched, wired, and ready to hang. It may be installed vertically or horizontally. It is signed and titled by the artist on the back. Free local Los Angeles area delivery. Affordable Continental U.S. and worldwide shipping available. A certificate of authenticity issued by the art gallery is included. Clara Berta explores the collision between the old and new; destruction and rebuilding lives. She began painting as an outlet of grief; creating something beautiful as the result of loss. Through her creative practice, she has found healing and further offers to her community safe spaces for troubled teens and women to heal through the meditative process of painting. Her artworks are a language, a push forward in new directions and achievements, while always inspired by history. Berta mixes minimalism with underlying texture and embraces modernism while compiling the odds and ends of her attempts to let her art speak for itself. Her abstract works often include reminders of her travels expressed in unexpected sequences of patterns as well as distortion of perspectives and subconscious spaces. Manipulating the texture with several layers of texture paste and acrylic paint, she will work and re-work her canvases, layering textures to give added dimension, and creating works that intrigue and invite the viewer to explore not only the surface but also the inner language of the painting. A passionate, award-winning artist of Hungarian heritage, Clara Berta's dynamic and highly textural abstract works have been exhibited and collected worldwide. Hurricane Season 1 - Colorful Abstract Painting
By Jodi Fuchs
Located in Los Angeles, CA
Jodi Fuchs creates modern abstract expressionistic artworks with undeniable energy. Years of inquiry into the metaphysical aspects of life have influenced her studio practice. This is where the act of creation is the muse. By following intuitive impulses, Fuchs' work speaks to the chaos and stillness (and the reconciliation of these two forces) inherent in the human experience. This original 12-inch square artwork is created with acrylic, ink, and graphite on canvas. It is Fuchs’ fascination with the pure creative force: understanding it, harnessing it, and expressing it, that fuels her painting process. This painting is signed on the back. The sides of this artwork are painted and it does not require framing. Convenient local Los Angeles area shipping. Affordable Continental U. S. and worldwide shipping also available. A certificate of authenticity issued by the art gallery is included. Born in New York in 1964, Jodi Fuchs is an award-winning contemporary abstract painter living in Los Angeles.
