Heartland V2 - tall, black, abstract patinated stainless steel outdoor sculpture
By Viktor Mitic
Located in Bloomfield, ON
An imposing fourteen-foot tower of curved abstract shapes is fabricated from stainless steel in this new sculpture from Viktor Mitic. He is known for his colourful abstract paintings and sculptures that were inspired by paint drippings on his studio floor. This intriguing patinated piece in rich dark tones signals a departure for Mitic. “My goal with these is to showcase the universal human connection we are all a part of, and if I can make a statement while doing so, even better.” Viktor Mitic Serbian-born Viktor Mitic earned a BFA from the University of Toronto in 1995 with studies in art history at Sheridan College. He has exhibited his post-Pop inspired...

Forget Me Not
By Heidi Spector
Located in Montreal, Quebec
Heidi Spector is a geometric artist best known for her exploration of minimalism as studied through lines, repetition, color and reflection. Spector’s work has been the subject of numerous solo and group shows including exhibitions in Montreal, London, Paris, Los Angeles, Houston, Miami, and New York. Her work is included in several corporate, private and museum collections worldwide. Her paintings and sculptural cubes composed of acrylic painted as bands of color on Russian birch, are topped with resin, creating a surface where candy-like colors pulse and dance together, alluding to the impact of popular music on her work. Referred to by the artist as “geometric minimalism,” Spector purposefully avoids injecting specific emotional content to her paintings, instead opting for bold color choices that quickly establish an upbeat and lively mood. Her shining repetitive pattern of vertical or horizontal stripes project a natural sense of optimism and joy informed by the techno beats and self-absorption of club life. Spector’s paintings are influenced by popular music, taking on titles based on song lyrics by artists as varied as Duke Ellington, Roxy Music...

Biomorphic Blue No 11 - smooth, pigmented Winterstone, abstract sculpture
By Jana Osterman
Located in Bloomfield, ON
The natural world inspires the beautiful organic forms of artist Jana Osterman. This deep blue patinated winterstone sculpture suggests the shape and movement of tree roots. It is polished with a protective wax giving it a light sheen. “Tree roots hold traces and impressions of where they held on but still suggest the smooth, and continuous movement, the flow of water." Jana Osterman Born in Slovenia, Osterman moved to Holland where she studied at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague. She continued with printmaking studies in England. For the last 20 years, Osterman has worked as a full-time artist and fabricator in Canada, first in Toronto and now in Prince Edward County...

Maestro (walnut wood bird abstract art zen sculpture pedestal minimal)
By Eric Tardif
Located in Quebec, Quebec
This steam-bent wooden sculpture is made of walnut with a granite base. The wood grain and the color are uniqueness of this sculpture. The wood has magnificent stripe patterns of paler and darker colors. One of them is to stay positive and keep hope. In some cultures, a heron symbolizes contemplation, vigilance, divine wisdom, and inner quietness. As a Chinese symbol, a heron represents strength, purity, patience and long life. In Africa, herons were thought to communicate with the Gods. The elegance and purity of the lines are reminiscent of Native American art from Western Canada. The elegance and purity of the lines are reminiscent of Native American art from Western Canada including that of Benjamin Chee...
