Stephane Langlois
Triangle - tall, modern, abstract, contemporary, aluminum outdoor sculpture

2021

About the Item

Quebecois sculptor Stephane Langlois finds inspiration in the architectural heritage of the world. Many of his abstract sculptures are shaped like the towers and church spires that dominate both city and country skylines. This striking column is cut and welded out of aluminum. The interior contains geometric pieces that have been treated with acid, to add patina and contrast. The exterior of the column is polished to a high sheen that reflects light. Langlois has a bachelor’s degree in psychology and studied sculpture at the Maison des Metiers d’art in Quebec City. He has been sculpting professionally since 2002. His work, in wood and metal has been seen in numerous solo and group exhibitions and is held in public and private collections in Canada, the U.S., Europe and Mexico.
