A superb and most impressive 19th century bronze figure of The Dancing Faun (a symbol of fertility) with Cymbals. The handsome faun displays a foot instrument while he stands aside a tree trunk. Raised on a rectangular base, signed Musee De Naples. It is made after the model by Massimiliano Soldani (Italian, 1656-1740).
Wonderful colour and patination throughout.
