One Thousand Drawings By Tracey Emin (Hand signed and inscribed book for Nadine)
By Tracey Emin
Located in New York, NY
Tracey Emin One Thousand Drawings By Tracey Emin (Hand signed and inscribed for Nadine), 2009 Hardback monograph with dust jacket (ink signed and inscribed by Tracey Emin) Hand signed, dated and inscribed to Nadine by Tracey Emin 7 × 10 × 2 1/2 inches This is the First Edition of the hardback monograph with dust jacket "One Thousand Drawings" by Tracey Emin - featuring reproductions of 1000 of her drawings. It was hand signed, dated and inscribed in ink to the current owner - our gallery director - at the 2011 Marc Jacobs pop up bookstore in Manhattan. (see attached article for details) Inscription reads: For Nadine Love Tracey Emin 2011 NY X Publisher's Blurb: Tracey Emin has stirred controversy as well as acclaim since she rose to fame as the most highly publicized of the infamous Young British Artists. Though denounced by conservative critics at the outset, Emin’s work has attracted serious critical attention since the early 1990s for being consistently engaging, original, and startlingly direct. Her work has succeeded over the years in many media—from films to appliqués, embroideries, and installations—but it is in her works on paper that the honesty and frankness that have come to characterize her work are most fully realized. Edited by the artist herself from an archive of work stretching back before the beginnings of her career in the late 1980s, A Thousand Drawings is at once a collection of Emin’s works on paper, an exposé of her life as an artist, and a collectible artifact in itself. Many of these works on paper shed light on well-known multimedia pieces, previously studied in Works 1963–2006, published by Rizzoli in 2006. Stripped of the distractions of form and context, her bare and enigmatic drawings are presented on bible-thin paper in a uniquely beautiful slipcased volume, with an introduction by the artist. From considered self-portraits to pen-and-ink drawings and informal studies on lined notebook paper, this remarkable collection is as much a catalogue of Emin’s preoccupations as it is a monument to her raw and evocative talents as an artist. Review “Emin-an artist who is not afraid to wear her heart on her sleeve, or, indeed too embroider it on a blanket-personally chose the pictures for this book, and the delicate sketches are at once a glimpse of the profundity she’s capable of, and a reminder of vulnerability.” ~Nylon Magazine About the Author Tracey Emin was born in London in 1963. Nominated for the Turner Prize in 1999 and chosen to represent Britain at the 52nd Venice Biennale in 2007, Emin is also a member of the Royal Academy of Arts. The author of several books, including Strangeland, her memoir, she contributes regularly to The Independent newspaper and lives and works in London. In publisher's original acetate dust jacket. Publisher's Blurb: In Air: 24 Hours, Jennifer Bartlett creates her most personal paintings, all made between 1991 and 1992. Here, in each work, the unflinching presence of time is carefully, conspicuously monitored by a clock - light gray for day, dark gray for night. But motifs, color combinations, even certain images variously recur throughout the 24 paintings, shaking us up, causing us to realize that even the most seemingly casual, intimate scenes (a child's bedroom, a bathroom, the garden fish...

Be@rbrick x Andy Warhol Foundation Elvis 400% & 100%
By Andy Warhol
Located in NEW YORK, NY
Be@rbrick x Andy Warhol Foundation "Elvis" Vinyl Figures: Set of two (400% & 100%): Andy Warhol (after) Elvis collectible trademarked & licensed by the Estate of Andy Warhol. The partnered collectible reveals Warhol's iconic Triple Elvis wrapping the figure in its entirety. Housed in a standout Warhol Elvis collectors' box. Medium: Vinyl Sculpture. Set of two figurines. Dimensions of larger piece: 11 x 5 inches. Condition: New in its original packaging. Warhol foundation trademark featured on lower left of reverse. Published by Medicom from a sold out edition of unknown. Further Background: BE@RBRICKs are a form of collectible toy that resemble a cross between LEGO and well, a bear. These block-style figurines boast teddy bear-style heads that have become an integral pillar of the collectible toy scene. In fact, it wouldn’t be so far-fetched to say that it almost single-handedly carved out the fad of toy collecting in modern times, treading the very fine line between toy and art. Since its inception, BE@RBRICKs have become one of the most recognizable characters in the world, and some of the most sought after. Please note exact patterns may vary. Andy Warhol Triple Elvis: Standing with his trademark proud stance, Andy Warhol’s rare triple portrait of Elvis Presley dominates just as the singer dominated the cultural landscape of the 1950s and 1960s. First shown at the artist’s seminal 1963 exhibition at Irving Blum’s Ferus Gallery in Los Angeles, Warhol’s Elvis paintings...

To Earl and Camilla, Love Andy Warhol
By Andy Warhol
Located in New York, NY
Andy Warhol To Earl and Camilla, Love Andy Warhol, 1979 Original Heart Drawing held in book with unique dedication to Earl and Camilla McGrath (Signed Twice by Andy Warhol) The original dedicated Warhol drawing is boldly signed by Warhol. The book is also signed by Warhol on the cover. 11 1/2 × 9 1/2 inches Wonderful provenance! We would not acquire or sell drawing in a signed Warhol book without knowing the provenance was irrefutable. This is one of them. Makes a memorable and unique gift. This is a signed drawing of a heart, with a beautiful dedication from Andy Warhol to Earl and Camilla McGrath - art and entertainment impresarios. Warhol writes: "To Earl and Camilla love. Andy Warhol" - on the title page of the hardback monograph "Exposures". The book is also hand signed in marker on the cover - as well! What makes this work even more collectible is that Earl McGrath is even featured in this book - his photograph is reproduced on page 11 of "Exposures". (!!) About the recipients Camilla and Earl McGrath: Camilla McGrath (nee Countess Camilla Pecci-Blunt), wife of art dealer, entertainment executive and impresario Earl McGrath. This work was acquired from the Estate of Earl and Camilla McGrath. (Camilla died in 2007. and Earl died in 2016 at the age of 84.) In remembering Earl McGrath for Vanity Fair magazine, Warhol's editor and confidant Bob Colacello interviewed the many celebrities and artists who adored McGrath: "He was the last of a breed, one of the last great gentlemen and bohemians,” says Harrison Ford.."; He was the funniest man I have ever known,” declares Jerry Hall, whose friendship with McGrath went back to 1975, when she was the girlfriend of Bryan Ferry and he was vice president of Atlantic Records. “He also had a huge heart and was a magnet for us all in New York and Los Angeles.”; “Earl was so brilliantly irreverent,” says Anjelica Huston, who credits McGrath with introducing her to her late husband, the sculptor Robert Graham, who showed at his Los Angeles gallery; “He wasn’t always the jokester,” notes Brice Marden, who frequently dined tête-à-tête with McGrath. “He also had a keen eye and a kind of natural wisdom, albeit with a slightly warped attitude towards things. I just found him a really good person to hang out with. Whenever I had some deep question, I always wanted to consult Earl. It was reassuring to hear what he had to say.”...So who was this Earl McGrath? Unknown to the general public (and liking it that way), he was very well known to the very well known, the ultimate insider equally at home in the upper echelons of music, art, letters, and entertainment. Among the regulars who flocked to the salon-like lunches and dinners he and his wife, Countess Camilla Pecci-Blunt, a descendant of Pope Leo XIII, gave at their apartment across from Carnegie Hall and their house in West Hollywood were Andy Warhol; Mick Jagger; Gore Vidal; Audrey Hepburn; Anita Loos; Cy Twombly; Larry Rivers; Francesco and Alba Clemente; Prince Rupert Loewenstein; Connie Wald; Wendy Stark; Michelle Phillips; Julian Sands; Annie Leibovitz; Jann and Jane Wenner; Sonny and Gita Mehta; Terry Southern; Fernanda Eberstadt; Wes Anderson; Prince Michael of Greece and his wife, Marina Karella...
