Dominique Teufen was born in Davos Switzerland in 1975. After following a two years stone sculpting class in Zürich, she moved to Amsterdam and received her BA in Sculpture from the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in 2002. In the following years she worked and exhibited in Melbourne, Zürich, London and New York. After moving back to Amsterdam, she attained her Master of Fine Art in 2010 at the Academy for Art and Design St. Joost in S’Hertogenbosch the Netherlands. Since 2011 she lives and works in Zürich and Amsterdam.
With Teufen’s education in Sculpture and fine Arts, material-experiments make up an important part of her work. Curious and fascinated by photography, she investigates and engages in differ- ent processes and mechanisms before she takes her photographs. With her specific use of pho- tography, she not only examines the field of tension between two- and three dimensionality, but also explores the area where reality and illusion lose their specific definition and where different possible realities can be visualized.
Teufen has participated in various solo and group exhibitions worldwide, including at the Chris- tophe Guye Galerie, Zürich, Kunsthalle Wil/St. Gallen as well as Kunstraum Aarau. Furthermore, Teufen has been exhibited with Thomas Ruff, Wolfgang Tillmans and Viviane Sassen...

Nobuyoshi Araki (Tokyo, 1940) is a Tokyo-based photographer. Araki completed his studies at Chiba University’s Department of Photography, Painting and Engineering with a focus on the study of film and photography. His photographic project Satchin earned him the prestigious Taiyo Award in 1964, shortly after he had joined the advertising agency Dentsu, where he worked until 1972. At Dentsu he met his wife Yoko, to whom he paid homage in Sentimental Journey, a photographic record of their honeymoon published in 1971. Yoshinori Mizutani's (*1987, Japan) works suggest new expressive possibilities that mix the domestic traditions of personal and street photography with those of foreign conceptual photography.
Mizutani graduated from the Tokyo College of Photography in 2012. He has won a number of prestigious awards including Japan Photo Award in 2013 as well as Foam Talent Call and Lens Culture Emerging Talents Top 50 in 2014. His series Tokyo Parrots was on view at this years Bienne Festival of Photography in Bienne/Switzerland. His foray into photography is fairly recent, he started 5 years ago. Nonetheless, his photographs do demonstrate an innate understanding of how forms, colours, textures and depth translate to the pictoral plane. He is working with a visual vocabulary that has been well established by the work of many photographers active today. Mizutani’s work serves as a good gauge of the visual tropes and photographic styles that are prevalent among young photographers in Tokyo.

Nobuyoshi Araki (Tokyo, 1940) is a Tokyo-based photographer. Araki completed his studies at Chiba University’s Department of Photography, Painting and Engineering with a focus on the study of film and photography. His photographic project Satchin earned him the prestigious Taiyo Award in 1964, shortly after he had joined the advertising agency Dentsu, where he worked until 1972. At Dentsu he met his wife Yoko, to whom he paid homage in Sentimental Journey, a photographic record of their honeymoon published in 1971. Eros and thanatos (sex and death) has been a central theme in Araki’s work; an abiding fascination with female genitalia and women’s bodies in Japanese bondage...
