They are very presentable in near mint Condition having just been professionally cleaned and polished by expert silversmiths,
These Include Two original signed "Puiforcat Paris" Anti-Tarnish Storage Covers for protection while put away in Storage.
They where made Circa 1890s, possibly. Privately Commissioned by wealthy French gentry some time in the Louis XVI period.
They are stamped with the French Government's Head of the Minerva 1 hallmark certifying a minimum of 950 sterling silver.
The renowned firm of Puiforcat was founded in 1820 by Émile Puiforcat who worked predominantly as a cutler with his brother Pierre-Joseph-Marie Puiforcat and their maternal cousin Jean-Baptiste Fuchs at rue Chapon in the Marais district of Paris.

This magnificent antique Edwardian sterling silver tray has a rectangular cut-cornered shaped form.
The surface of this sterling silver serving tray is embellished with an impressive contemporary bright cut engraved cartouche, reflecting the shape of the tray in an incurved festoon design, incorporating wriggle work decorated ribbon bow designs.
The cartouche features an impressive crest depicting a demi-lion holding in the dexter paw a dagger, above the motto 'Mors aut VITA decora' - Death or a life of honour.
The surface of this Edwardian silver gallery tray is further embellished with the contemporary engraved date 'May 23 1906'.
