Artist Yelena Sidorova paints a portrait of a ginger kitten lounging on a chair - an entry to her series inspired by the grace and eloquence of her two beautiful pets. "I am a cat person. I love having them in my home," shares Yelena. She paints the silk piece with vibrant hues and fascinating patterns that shine bright and intense brilliance.
About the Artist
Silk is the fabric of the soul. On it, Yelena Sidorova pours paint in colorful sheets that shimmer and glisten with emotion. The process of painting on silk requires a delicate approach. Yelena has the gentleness required to weave mysteriously provocative paintings. She says, "I transform the world around me: every drop of dye on silk is one drop of magic into my existence."

A grid-like pattern forms a golden wall, exemplifying artist M. Clark's expressive medium. The technique used to create this is one where gold foil is sculpted using an innovative process M. developed. "This work has a continuously shifting luminosity that is dependent on the viewer’s vantage point," says M. "This provides an infinitely evolving viewing experience. The edges are finished in gold foil creating a halo effect around the artwork as light reflects off the sides of the piece."
About the Artist
M. Clark manipulates metallic foil in order to create rich surfaces that are highly reactive to shifts in light. She strives to continually push the bounds of her gold foil medium, including working directly with a manufacturer to develop foil in specific sizes and colors that were not previously available...
