Glamorous Park Avenue Apartment

Apartment by Cullman & Kravis Inc. in New York, NY

C &K originally designed a very traditional apartment in the 90's, along with late architect Elliot Rosenblum who combined the client’s ten room apartment with the adjacent two bedroom apartment. Fifteen years later we determined that the interiors needed an update, but not a radical makeover. Our clients were still in love with many of the antiques they had collected in the past such as the chinoiserie console in the entry, the Neoclassical gueridon in the living room, and the Regency gilt-wood mirror in the dining room. But what was of critical importance was to make the background younger, sleeker, and more vibrant.

What resulted is an exciting mix of traditional and modern furniture, subtle carpets, animal prints, textured wall finishes, metallic ceilings and jeweled curtains by the famed House of Lesage from Paris.
