Smoothly cruising through the marshes on a private catboat, as the sun is setting, couldn't be more memorable. The exquisitely colored sunset in values of yellow to pink to lavender and periwinkle is presented with impasto layering that has been paired with a gentle rocking in the wind in this original marine landscape. Master artist Jim Rodgers has been painting for more than 30 years, having studied at both the highly respected Art Students League of NYC as well as the Ridgewood Art Institute of New Jersey. His work has been acknowledged by numerous publications including "American Art Collector." His work is represented in the collections of Pfizer Corporation, The Rockefeller Trust and many other noteworthy corporate and private collections. This impressionist marine landscape is framed in an antique gold wood frame with tasteful distressing throughout.
