TELL ME HOW TO BEHAVE
Series of photographs digitally intervened and road signs transformed (life-size), who wonder about the infinite possibilities, without losing sight of the fact that in all of them. There is the possibility of death.
With this in mind, the work seeks to relate to the viewer, in terms of the experience lived, decisions in time, or personal history, which are common to all.
Functioning as a counter-proposal to the expectations that the group expects from the individual.
The dislocated-edited reality makes us ask about our reality and to what extent.
Sample freedom of choice is influenced by external agents, mass control systems, mass media, etc.
Waste, immaturity, successes, time lived. The series plays
with the presentation of bad possibilities, absurd and impossible, and their relationship with time. Letting you see the paradox
of memories and experience, raising its relationship with the present. Where the image of the road, as an American space of freedom, opens up to the idea of a space large enough to imagine the possibility of reinvention in every second.

Mario Algaze was a contemporary Cuban-American photographer whose work celebrated the culture of Latin America.
In 1960, at the age of thirteen, Algaze was exiled from Cuba with his family. He relocated to America and settled in Miami, Florida. Miami offered a rich cultural mecca that encouraged Algaze to travel throughout Central and South America. These trips allowed him a glimpse of belonging within a familiar culture.
In finding his identity after exile, he began photographing Latin America in the 1970’s while reconnecting with the feeling of home. His photographs embody the everyday of Latin life. Between his travels in the late 70’s, Algaze studied visual art at Miami Dade College. Algaze’s masterful command of light illuminates his street scenes that detail the struggles and victories of Latin culture.
Mario Algaze was the recipient of various acclaimed awards, including the Florida Artist Fellowship from the Florida Arts Council (1985), the Cintas Foundation Fellowship in Photography (1991), the Visual Arts Fellowship and the SAF Artist Fellowship sponsored by the National Endowment for the Arts. In 1992, he received the National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship in Photography.
A retrospective collection of his work was showcased in the important monograph, Mario Algaze: Portfolio, published by Di Puglia Publisher, 2010. Michal Cala was born in Toruń, Poland in 1948 and studied aircraft construction in Warsaw at the University of Technology in the early 1970's. From 1974 to 1983 he worked as an engineer in various companies in Silesia, and began photographing in the area. In 1977, he moved to Tychy in Upper Silesia, where he co-founded the photographers' association KRON and become a member of the ZPAF - the Union of Polish Art Photographers.
