Original vintage music advertising poster for Tattoo You by the Rolling Stones featuring the award winning album cover design by the graphic designer Peter Corriston working with photographer Hubert Kretzschmar and illustrator Christian Piper showing the face of the band's lead singer Mick Jagger (Sir Michael Philip Jagger; b 1943) covered in tribal tattoos and set against a bold red background with the album title above and the iconic Rolling Stones lips logo (designed by John Pasche as the Tongue and Lip Design in 1970) below. Tattoo You was the 16th British and 18th American studio album by the rock and roll band The Rolling Stones (formed 1962), released in 1981 and composed mainly of outtakes recorded during the 1970s including one of the band's most well-known and popular songs Start Me Up (1978), becoming a successful studio album reaching the top ten on both the UK and US charts ahead of their 1981 American Tour and 1982 European Tour. Very good condition, small restored creases in margin, backed on linen.
