Bringing a colossal house down to size is a challenge designers count themselves lucky to have. Wesley Moon took on this major New Jersey project knowing his clients would need to be entertained by the decor when they weren’t entertaining family and friends — and he curated the furnishings accordingly.
A wall mural and silk draperies temper the Italianate dining room, while envelope-pushing art — Stephanie Patton’s soft sculpture Keep, from Voltz Clarke Contemporary — gives it flare. On the clients’ own table, Eric Schmitt‘s bronze and glass vase reflects ceiling light onto diners of any number as they pull up a very special suite of Victorian bamboo chairs.
