Here’s a glimpse into “A New Breed,” the special exhibition 1stdibs mounted to coincide with Salone del Mobile.
Featured in the show were 30 contemporary makers who blur the line between design and sculpture — including Anna Karlin, Bec Brittain, Ben Medansky, Egg Collective, Ben and Aja Blanc, Mimi Jung, Jonathan Nesci, Fferrone, EWE Studio, Dougall Paulson, Editions Milano and Maharam.
Our curators arranged the edgy works throughout a traditional Milanese palazzo at Piazza San Sepolcro, 2, to provide 21st-century counterpoint to the sumptuous classical architecture inside.
