To visually signify the company’s 10th anniversary, in 2006 e15 exchanged the e15 signal orange with gold. It symbolised the censure after this first decade of e15 and at the same time the transition into the next few years of our work. As a special product for the anniversary e15 presented the light SEAM ONE as a limited edition piece, which in its gold finish bridges the gap to our collection. The object by British designer Mark Holmes has been awarded several times (for example, IF-Design Award, Red Dot Design Award, Wallpaper* Editors Award) and has been part of the e15 collection since 2003. The light SEAM ONE is an elegant and contemporary interpretation of the classic table light whose sculptural body is a direct result of its clear lines and accurate folding. At the heart of the design is the aim to keep the number of components to a minimum, the construction as simple as possible, the proportions as balanced as possible and the light as strong as possible – requirements, product specific, which as such are at the heart of all e15 furniture pieces. Wonderful art nouveau table lamp with an unusual design. This table lamp in patinated brass is very art nouveau with its curvy and floral shapes and sharp edges. A great and very distinct design which is uncommon to find. Look at the way the three vertical elements bend and curve towards the top of the lamp, or at the three feet which stand very elegantly on the surface. A wonderful and rare table lamp, which has great use of material and is rich in execution and patination.

Poul Henningsen developed the PH 5 in 1958 in response to constant changes made to the shape and size of incandescent bulbs by bulb manufacturers, naming it after the size of the pendant’s main shade, which is 50 cm in diameter. When the lamp was introduced, he wrote, typically daringly, about how he had lost faith in whether the manufacturers of incandescent light bulbs would ever learn to consider common sense or have the consumer’s best interests at heart: “I have accepted fate, and with Louis Poulsen´s permission I have designed a PH fixture, which can be used with any kind of light source, Christmas lights and 100 W metal filament bulbs. Although a fluorescent tube would be too much to ask in the existing form!” Henningsen wanted to improve the colour reproduction characteristics of the light source in the PH 5. Small red and blue shades were therefore inserted to supplement the colour in the part of the spectrum where the eye is least sensitive – the red and blue areas – thereby subduing the light in the middle yellow-green region where the eye is most sensitive. At the time, no one knew that the PH 5 would become synonymous with the PH light...

The AJ Oxford Table Lamp has a sleek graphic expression, which reflects the architecture of St Catherine's College, in Oxford, for which it was originally designed. St Catherine's College, inaugurated in 1963, was designed by Arne Jacobsen in a modernist architectural style, which stands in contrast with the surrounding classical architecture of Oxford University. The AJ Oxford Table Lamp was first designed as a table pin lamp for the impressive dining hall at the college, which housed long rows of oak tables, seating 350 people. The table lamps act as centrepieces on the tables, while natural light comes from clerestory windows and the wall-mounted AJ Eklipta provides diffused general lighting. The lamp is still found at St Catherine's College, which is still in use today, both for teaching and as a halls of residence for students.
