It has been created from a repurposed, up-cycled, recycled fabric, used with the intentions on promoting a more eco-friendly environment. We both celebrate and cherish the past and take care with rare and precious vintage and antique materials. (this cushion frame can also be reversed back into a scarf and presented in a frame on request) Note on condition: This particular scarf displays slight markings, these are tiny, faint and barely noticeable. They are small, almost like dirty marks but the piece is fully laundered, likely very small colour transfers, perhaps during ironing in its previous life. They are small and just about visible in the photographs. We rarely create scarf cushions from non perfect specimens but in this instance the item is extremely beautiful. This is mentioned for clarity. We feel they do not take away from the item’s charm and beauty. This can be expected in vintage, formerly used / pre-loved textiles, there is no structural damage (no rips, plucks, holes, tears, snags, frays), or restoration. It is a very special colour way that we don’t come across often. Title: Vintage Hermes Equestrian Silk Scarf and Irish Linen Cushion Pillow The ‘crème de la crème’ of scarves, this beauty is a one-of-a-kind luxury cushion (pillow) created from an exquisite vintage silk Hermes fashion scarf in their festive ‘Les Rubans Du Cheval’ equestrian pattern by Joachim Metz in 1988. A variety of elaborate ribbon rosettes in vibrant, colourful hues - an ornament made of pleated material, gathered so as to resemble a rose and worn as a decorative badge to show ranking in a competition. The French company began in 1837 producing superior quality leather goods, harnesses and saddles, which makes sense that 100 years later the main theme on their luxury scarves is equestrian. Hermes scarves, known as ‘carre’ (squares), have become a symbol of French chic and are a highly desirable object across the globe that still continues to delight. Favoured by the ‘jet-setters’ of the 50s and 60s and gaining iconic status by Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly and this particular elegant design even worn by Queen Elizabeth II. Title: Rare Vintage Hermes Blue and Gold Silk Astronomy Scarf and Irish Linen Cushion Pillow Description: The ‘crème de la crème’ of scarves, this beauty is a one-of-a-kind custom made luxury cushion (pillow) from an exquisite and rare vintage silk mythological themed Hermes fashion scarf designed by Philippe Ledoux, who has created many beautiful ‘carrés' for the Maison Hermes. First issued in 1964 the ‘Cosmos’ print has been re-issued several times. Here it is in a harmonious colour way of varying shades of blue crowned with illustrations in lavish antique gold. The mythological design depicts Phoebus, also known as Apollo, the god of sun and light, gallantly riding his chariot across the sky, making the sun rise and set across the universe. In all four corners of this print, he is seen charging from the heavens, from two different angles of perspective, with his chariot and horses galloping on a seemingly weightless cloud upon elegant scrolling golden leaves. The busy picture features ornamental details and architectural Renaissance motifs, spiralling and curling, connected by intricate and interlacing decorative ribbons and topped with striking stars. Scattered across the surface are smaller subtle twinkling stars adding to the magic and alluding to a midnight theme. Note the iconic ‘Hermes Paris’ proudly running long the bottom centre also in gold, the artist’s signature ‘Ledoux’ nearby on the bottom right hadn’t corner, and another ‘C Hermes’ in the top right hand corner, the ‘C’ for copyright being found on Hermes earlier...

Title: Rare antique set of 10 pharmacy bottles apothecary glass with gold leaf Beautiful set of ten pharmaceutical bottles, circa 1900 originally from a chemists in Northern Ireland. Note the exquisite gold leaf framed labels which make them real collectors items (and add value). These elegant bottles lined pharmacy shelves until the late 1920s. We’ve selected the bottles with the most attractive and desirable titles as well as pretty finish and in a variety of sizes and assorted top designs to compliment each other. The rounded stoppers are hand blown glass making them more valuable than the others due to it’s finer craftsmanship, the plain chisel top designs are elegant and feel extremely tackle to the touch fitting perfectly with ones thumb, with some finished with superb hand cut edges which are more labor intensive specimens, and almost reminiscent of a perfume bottle. The shorthand Latin (some ancient Greek) names for these botanical delights gives more detail to be admired. They are all empty but some have a wonderful slight residue of its past contents lining the inside of the bottle. Unusual and stunning treasure as a unique feature to accessorise your interior just as fragrance bottles and cosmetic jars would.
