The micro pleated top features an abstract design of squiggles, loops, and lines in tiffany blue, pink, and brown on a saturated red-orange ground. The top begins with a square neckline and ruffled angel sleeves framed by a fabulous sculpted ruffle trim that extends from shoulder to shoulder. The jacket has a relaxed fit and remains elegant throughout with side slits at the waist that allow for greater ease of movement. There are no fastenings or lapels so this is a type of swing jacket which clings and hugs the body. With all-over copper sequinned embellishment, there is a small padded insert to the puff sleeved shoulder with tapered sleeves toward the cuff. Lined in a corresponding copper polyester jersey. This piece really belongs in a serious collection or museum and is just as wearable today as it was over 50 years ago.
