Chinese Celadon Glazed Small Circular Porcelain Bowl

About the Item

A fine antique Chinese small celadon glazed porcelain bowl dating from the early Ming dynasty or earlier. The finely made bowl, of slight irregular shape, stands on a small round unglazed foot with glazed recess. The foot has kiln residue applied around the edge and has a slightly splayed top rim and the body of the bowl has a celadon glazed finish. The bowl is typically not marked. A very fine period example offered in good condition with customary age wear and a few natural firing defects as typical of pieces of this type and period. Provenance: From a wonderful and choice collection of small cabinet pieces many of which we are currently offering on 1stdibs. Acquired in the UK Art Market.
