NOTES Longquan is a city in South west China. These wares were produced over a long time period from 959 to 1550; which covers the Northern Song, Southern Song, Yuan and the early Ming periods from 1368 for approximately 200 years. Production was on a large scale with the wares forming an important export market for about 600 years. Colours centred on olive green but greenish blues and browns were also made.
