Chinese Longquan celadon brush washer, Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279), covered with a sea green glaze, the sides slightly everted at the rim, rising on a tapered foot. Presented on a 19th century wooden base. Brush bowl diameter 14 cm, height 4.2 cm, total height 10 cm For a similar example see the collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum.
