This extraordinary Japanese contemporary museum-quality decorative porcelain vase features a patch of thistle plants and flowers -- a traditional motif in Imari-Arita porcelain art. The occasional butterfly attracted to the early summer bloom adds a mesmerizing sense of depth to the porcelain canvas of green and deep pink.
The acclaimed master artist has wrapped the rectangular body of the vase in a flowing floral screen that is expertly laid out to offer a series of possible perspectives depending on the angle of display.
