About the Item
A fantastic top quality pair of late 19th century Japanese Kutani porcelain vases fully signed on the underside.
This highly decorative pair of fine porcelain vases are a rare example of this type of ware.
The hand painted decoration is of very fine quality with the main panels front and rear decorated with two different pairs of exotic birds amongst flowers and delicate foliage.
The main panels are surrounded by very intricately painted gilt boarders and surrounding motifs in a traditional design.
The condition of the two vases is exceptional with no wear to the gilding, damage or restoration.
These fine vases would make a very good addition to any collection or home.
