Pair of Chinese hand painted blue and white vases, Circa 1930

About the Item

Pair of Chinese Hand Painted Blue and White Vases, Circa 1930 An impressive and unusual pair of Chinese porcelain vases made to a traditional shape with a raised foot and bulbous shaped body narrowing to a flared neck. The vases have four panels of different decoration separated by three pairs of circular raised mouldings which run around their circumference. The blue and white hand painted decoration has been very well done. Around the neck there is a continuous painted leaf boarder, below the two central panels have a trailing leaf and flower design and around the lower section there is a water and wave pattern. This pair of hand potted and painted vases show some slight differences in their decoration and also weight. One vase is more heavily potted than the other which is only noticeable on lifting. Chinese circa 1930. Dimensions: W 16 cm (6.3") x D 16 cm (6.3") x H 26 cm (10.2")
