A pair of antique Japanese Meiji era cloisonne enamel lidded vases. The vases have a similar shape: a rounded body with a slightly tapered base and a domed lid. Each lid has a bronze, openwork knob on top. The vases feature a dark blue medallions adorned with painted floral and butterfly motifs. Medallions are on a light blue base color which is also within a scrolling pattern and floral and butterfly motifs.
