About the Item
A pair of bronze vases with shishiaibori and iro-e takazogan inlays in relief in gold and silver and worked in kebori depicting two dragons, both embracing the vases with Nogawa company brands. The upper part has geometric decorations in relief in shibuichi and shakudo enclosed within reserves.
Work published in the volume "Selection 2023.

Meiji, c. 1880
Founded in Kyoto in 1825, during the Meiji era the Nogawa company exhibited at major international exhibitions between 1893 and 1910, as well as at the Naikoku Kangyō Hakurankai (National Industrial Promotion Exhibitions) in 1881 and 1890.
