Rare 18th-Century Lacquer Screen / Room Divider, Qing Dynasty
A rare lacquer screen from the 18th century, crafted in wood.
The screen features a sturdy frame with openwork panels at the base, finished in black lacquer. The panels are adorned with profiled edges and three intricate floral details in red lacquer.
The front panel is coated with a thick layer of light lacquer and embellished with traditional Chinese calligraphy, showcasing the Chinese character for "luck, happiness, blessing, and good fortune" (fu in Chinese), painted in black lacquer.
