Large antique Chinese Qing dynasty style 3 panel folding screen with ink painting. Painted in ink and colors on paper Dimensions: Each panel: 67 x 24 1/2 in. (170.2 x 62.2 cm.) Acquired from Abell auctioneer in 2025. About the Art Form Chinese ink painting on folding screens, a popular decorative art form, developed primarily during the Qing dynasty (1644-1911) in China. While ink painting itself has a longer history, the combination of ink wash painting with the screen format gained popularity during this period. The style often featured landscape scenes, figures, or bird and flower depictions, showcasing both artistic skill and cultural appreciation.
