Japanese colors, gofun and metallics on silk painting of Noh/Kabuki Dancers, depicting two figures of actors dancing in the play Shakkyo portraying a pair of shishi (lions), one on a stand with white wig flanked by peonies and the other in foreground in a red wig, signed by the artist Torii Kiyotada (Kiyotada VII, 1875-1941) with a red seal, later formal scroll mounting with fine brocades and ivory end rollers. Kiri storage box. Reinforced top silk mounting with 5 inch split on the left side near the top rail, minor age discoloration, otherwise fine condition. Painting: 44-1/8” x  16-3/16”, Scroll: 81-1/2” x 22”. Early 20th century.
