Lacquered Wooden Screen Decorated With A Peacock And A Refined Landscape
About the Item
Majestic and rare lacquered wooden screen with an elegant peacock in the center that stands out among golden and silver clouds. The peacock is depicted on a gnarled cherry blossom trunk, whose branch extends harmoniously into the background. At its feet bloom chrysanthemums in white, orange and yellow tones.
The back of the screen features an equally refined scene, with a finely carved and lacquered Japanese village, wrapped in soft clouds.
