Burmese Wood Seated Buddha, Early 20th Century

About the Item

This buddha is a hand-carved from wood and originates from Burma, modern day Myanmar. It once featured an elaborate lacquer finish, however much of this has worn away over the decades. There are traces of the original black and yellow lacquer. The buddha features painted eyes and is seated on a single carved lotus pedestal. Measures: Height 72cm x Width 20cm x Depth 19cm.
