Burmese Gilt-Wood Seated Buddha, Early 20th Century
About the Item
This buddha is a hand-carved from wood and originates from Burma, modern day Myanmar. It once featured an elaborate gilded finish (covered in gold leaf), however much of this has worn away over the decades. However there are faint traces of the original black and red lacquer.
