A fine antique German porcelain figurine. By the Royal Meissen Porcelain Manufactory. Depicting the Advocato with Mask. Model Number 64536. Depicting a masked character in a yellow robe, mask, and tricorn hat holding a money sack. This Masquerader is one of the variations traditionally known as the Advocato/Avvocato or Lawyer from the Commedia dell'Arte series. Originally modeled J.J. Kändler in 1748, this model dates to the 20th century. Marked with an underglaze blue crossed swords factory mark, impressed 128 and cypher, incised model no. 64536, and an old Christie's East auction sticker. Simply a wonderful Meissen figurine! Date: 20th Century Overall Condition: It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs, some fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age. Maker: Meissen Pattern Name: Model no. 64536 Marks: Marked with an underglaze blue crossed swords factory mark, impressed 128 and cypher, incised model no. 64536, and an old Christie's East auction sticker.
