Late 19th Century French Copper Repousse Pitcher with Iron Straps and Handle

About the Item

Originally used in a chateau, this large scale late 19th century French copper repousse pitcher features three shields on it lower half, each flanked by scrolling leaves. One of the shields depicts a rooster and another has a crown above it. The upper half is additionally detailed with scrolling and leaves. Iron straps surround the top and bottom of the pitcher and a copper riveted iron handle allows for easy carrying. c. 1890.
