Wedgwood English Majolica Aesthetic Taste Snail Shell and Ivy Pitcher circa 1870

About the Item
An English Wedgwood Majolica pitcher, an aesthetic movement mold showing a snail shell against sprays of climbing ivy on a tortoiseshell ground. A branch form handle, yellow ochre rimming and a sea-green interior. Amazing color and the crisp mold work Wedgwood is known for.
Impressed Wedgwood mark along with a three digit date code, the ‘Y’ for the year 1870.
Measures: 7.5 in. L x 6 in. W x 9.5 in. H
