We are delighted to offer for sale this absolutely exquisite, large Sterling Silver Tiffany & Co serving tray with the Globe stamp placing the piece as being made and Exhibited at the World's Fair Chicago 1893 This truly is a piece of history, never have I before owned a piece that was exhibited and made especially for the World's fair, it is a complete honour to handle it, there is a history written below The detail is never ending as you can see in the pictures, it is unrestored, I can have it professionally polished by my silversmith in London should the new owners wish but to be honest, it looks amazing as it is Dimensions Width:- 36.2cm Depth:- 28cm Weight:- 1105 grams The World's Columbian Exposition (also known as the Chicago World's Fair) was a world's fair held in Chicago in 1893 to celebrate the 400th anniversary of Christopher Columbus's arrival in the New World in 1492.
