19th Century French Leather Bound and Gilt Book of The Virgin Mary

About the Item

Decorate a shelf or a library with this beautiful antique red book named "La Sainte Vierge"; crafted in Paris, France, circa 1877, the religious book depicts the life of the Virgin Mary with wonderful colors images. The book was written by the Abbe U. Maynard and printed by Firmin-Didot and Cie. The oeuvre features 14 chromolithograths, 3 photo etchings and over 200 black and white etchings. The artwork is in excellent condition with a rich red patinated leather and gilt edging. Measures: 8" W x 11.5" H.
