Più che sgabelli sono scultura molto pregiate perché realizzate in un blocco unico di legno di Albizia Rosa pianta parassita e infestante che cresce alle Seychelles. Mauro Mori (Cremona 1965) ha viaggiato molto fin dalla sua giovinezza ed esprime le sue percezioni dei suoi viaggi attraverso la sua innata creatività manuale. La sua opportunità di incontrare persone e culture, lingue diverse e luoghi insoliti forniscono le idee su cui si basa la sua ricerca e sono espresse nelle sue forme personalizzate funzionali e figurative. Le forme sono semplici come lo stampo della mano che le crea. I materiali con la strega Mauro Mori crea le sue opere uniche sono diventati dal nostro patrimonio naturale, esaltando ciò che la Natura ha creato. Le sue opere sono modellate direttamente dalle mani e non dalle macchine, quindi portano valori emotivi e affettivi. I blocchi solidi di materiale naturale, spesso lavorati nei loro luoghi di origine, come l'Albizia Rosa delle Seychelles o il marmo, raccolti a mano e lavorati direttamente a Carrara, sono le origini delle forme uniche fatte a mano. I mobili e le sculture d'arte di Mauro Mori sono divisi per tema: Edizione limitata, opere esclusive in materiali preziosi creati in edizioni limitate numerate con certificati di autenticità. Una galleria unica di opere d'arte uniche. Illimitato, raccoglie opere riproducibili e sviluppate anche su scale speciali. Sculture, selezione di alcune opere su larga scala: forme tridimensionali che si trovano autonome nello spazio. E una preziosa collezione di sculture di piccole dimensioni in edizione limitata. Sculture murali, rilievi alti e bassi in vari materiali. Opere tridimensionali ottenute con supporti misti su metallo o su legno. Il colore normalmente utilizzato durante la pittura viene sostituito da acidi per ossidare, per cambiare il tono e i colori dei materiali. Anche in questo caso viene utilizzato un processo di sottrazione per ottenere segni marcati che permettono di essere attraversati dagli occhi dell'osservatore. Progetto, esattamente personalizzato per adattarsi al paesaggio, tagliando e componendo elementi in legno o metallici, che i suggerimenti naturali e culturali del contesto si trasformano in un'inevitabile fonte di ispirazione. The great portfolio of Charles & Ray Eames is widely celebrated and serves as a model of inspiration for designers to this day. One of their most recognizable designs is the Aluminum Group line for Herman Miller from which these Soft Pad Executive Chairs were born. It is said that the Soft Pad variation was a design accident - cushions from the Eames Chaise found themselves draped over an Aluminum Group chair, and the rest is history. Whatever the story may be, the comfort of Charles & Ray’s Soft Pad seating perhaps rivals that of their famed Eames Lounge Chair. The Soft Pad collection consists of a Lounge Chair, a Low Back Management Chair, and this High Back Executive Chair. The design language is similar to the Eames Aluminum Group suite which sports a single “sling” of material which is tethered to two cast aluminum side rails and in this case, four plush cushions for optimal comfort. Both the record and cover are in very good overall vintage condition. Well suited for framing. Though The Velvet Underground existed for less than three years with its original members, it is considered to be not just the ‘ultimate New York band’ but also the most influential group ever. Artists who have acknowledged such influence include David Bowie, The Sex Pistols, Patti Smith, Joy Division and Nirvana. Witts places the band and its genesis in the cultural context of Manhattan’s beatnik bohemianism, its radical artistic environment, and the city’s negative reaction to California’s ‘Hippie’ counterculture. Lou Reed’s song factory background is also considered, while his Primitives (1964-5) and Velvet Underground songs (1965-70) are examined within the stylistic context of rock music. The band’s sound world is likewise considered in this light. John Cale’s experimental contribution is assessed, especially his work for LaMonte Young (The Theatre of Eternal Music) and what he carried from that experience into the Velvet’s sound. The visual artist Andy Warhol became the band’s manager and producer in 1965. He placed his ‘superstar’ Nico in the line-up (which already included a female drummer). The radical nature of the group’s Warhol period performances are examined, together with those aspects related to issues of gender, sexuality and drugs culture...
