About the Item

This is an extremely important Antique Desk/Bookcase by Gustav Stickley and Harvey Ellis. This is one of the most important pieces made by Gustav Stickley. It was designed in 1902 by Harvey Ellis just before he died. The piece is in excellent original condition with a dark fume black finish with very minor wear. THE LOCAL WE SELLING FOR ARE moving TO CALIFFORNIA and ALL MUST SELL ALL MUST SELL MUST SELL The back is also in great shape with a wrought iron strap. It is marked with the Gustav Stickley box decal. The doors open and close easily. You just don't see this kind of item around. We have over a dozen high-end pieces like this from the early 1900s.
